Fette Sans: Tales of Coincidence and A Long Walk celebrates the release of Fette Sans' latest book.

“In the very early morning of December 27th, I left the house in Mar Vista where I am currently living as part of the Kinkead Pop-Up Residency, and I started walking. In two days, I walked about 50 miles to eventually reach a house in Santa Ana -- the house of my friend Clay who passed away two years ago.”

This walk, this pilgrimage, was one fraught with an, often over-whelming, sense of sadness.  Bereavement is a solitary state, as is the pursuit of understanding.

The book not only collects photographs taken along her journey, but also recounts journal-style thoughts and memories as well as texts culled from the internet.  All of which, when added together, creates an experience that is equal parts documentary, self-portrait and memoir.
